Government Warning to Motorists

In a warning that 60% of fatalities occur on country roads and that
drivers are often oblivious of the risk they pose to others, a
campaign has been launched by the UK Government to publicise the
problem.
Since on average 3 people die each day on country roads, a number
nearly eleven times higher than on motorways, the government has
felt it time to act and has issued the PRESS RELEASE below.
Not only does inconsiderate driving endanger other drivers but also
cyclists, walkers, and horse-riders for whom country lanes are an
essential conduit for commuting or leisure.
