Sustrans Connects with the British Public
Taking 42% of the 286,285 public votes, Sustrans has come out top in the bid for £50m National Lottery money. Its innovative Connect2 scheme will assist many local projects throughout the UK. In North Wales Rhyl is a front runner, with plans for a bridge across the mouth of the River Clwyd.
Other schemes are on a reserve list, including the section of Route 5 of the National Cycle Network between Conwy Marina and Penmaenbach
